Pillows were already soaked with sweat when I rose from my almost two-hour slumber. I didn’t get to bed early because I attended the dinner organized by Janette Toral at Max’s Restaurant in Park Square 1 in Makati in which afterwards had a nightout with blogger friends. My tongue was also burnt by the aromatic ‘passion’ (p’shinn) tazo tea from Starbucks.

Luck was evading me last night because the 100 dollars flew away from my hands. The four-leaf clover dropped on the head of Rens that made him won the obsessed prize. Jehzeel was also fortunate that evening because he nabbed another one of the ten 100 dollars and got the check from his google adsense worth more than a hundred bucks; he went home with more than 200 dollars. I should have grabbed the butter knife and robbed these two kids. It could help me get to the Philippine Ad Congress. Oh well, nevermind! I may not have bagged a hundred bucks but I’m glad I’ve won new friends. Do I sound bitter?

I’m also proud to say that my nominees and friends now belong to the Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs/Bloggers of 2007, a genius project of Janette Toral. The Top Ten are:

  1. An Apple a Day
    The Philosophical Bastard
  2. The D Spot
  3. CokskiBlue
  4. Make Money Online with a 13-Year Old
  5. Culture Shiok!
    Utakgago
  6. Kubiertos
  7. FruityOaty
    PinoyBlogero
  8. The Dork Factor
    The Anitokid Chronikos
  9. Gibbs Cadiz
  10. Confessions of a Hopeless Romantic

I guess I’m the only one in our circle not bagging any title or any sumptuous prize—except for being an ultimate virgin. Kevin won a Nokia phone during the blog awards and now named a coveted title. Shari received the Best Personal Blog in PBA. Aaron bagged the Best Boy Blog in Candy Magazine. Neil got the 100 grand jackpot from a noontime TV show and Rens got hundred dollars. When will luck knock on my doorstep? Though, I’m not a loser at all because I already have several freebies and consolation prizes. Still, winning friends is more than having any titles, money prizes or getting devirginated. I just can’t avoid being sarcastic.

So, after the dinner and announcement of the top ten, we (Jake, Doc Tess, Shari, Kevin, Jhed, Rens and I) proceeded to the nearest money changer to have Rens’ bucks exchanged. Shortly, we headed back to Park Square 1 and had more chit-chats with other bloggers in Giligan’s Island. Ederic, Poytee, Coy, Jeff, Gibbs, Rick and Benj were already there and seems to be already having a good time. Unfortunately, Rens have to leave early—for the nth time—and was not able to witness the fun we had that night. We were still grateful because he left us a treat even his presence was not there.

Few hours later, the gang decided to break the fun because it was a weekday. Almost all had priorities that morning. I almost crushed Benj’s hands when we shook hands and bid farewell to each other. Sorry Benj, I didn’t mean it. Please don’t be mad at me or bash me.

We went out the bar minutes later after Benj’s gang left. We stretched our feet to Starbucks 6750 branch and had more talking there. We still met Gibbs and Rick in there. I ordered the Passion (p’shinn) Tazo Tea and burnt my tongue after my first sip. So yeah, my tongue is sore now and the tea’s aroma is stuck in my system. I didn’t finish my tea and went home around 2am. Jake chose to go home at that time too while the others; Jhed, Doc Tess, Kevin and Shari were left in the coffee shop. I heard they went home by 7am. That was survival of the fittest.

So there, that’s quite a few. Oh yeah, I also brought home a tag watch. I really dunno how to use it yet and I guess all else who saw it were curious and puzzled. Do you know how to use this? I can post this in eBay and auction it for more than a hundred bucks.

C’mon! It’s not a sex toy.

Before I forget, to those I nominated that got through the top ten you owe me 25 dollars each!
